Brahmotsavam at SV Temple
On the occasion of Brahmotsavam, Intermediate students from Leela School of Dance offered their Nritya Seva at SV Temple with a performance of the Marathi abhanga, “Raajasa Sukumara,” which is a piece describing the beauty and joy of Lord Krishna. This was a special moment for the students, who had the opportunity to present a classical interpretation of a bhakti-era devotional song in a sacred space. They performed with focus and heart, honoring the significance of the occasion through their movement and expression.

AANHPI Month at Lenovo RTP
We were thrilled to have both the Advanced and Adult Learner classes of Leela School of Dance perform together at Lenovo’s RTP campus in celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month. The group presented two traditional pieces that reflected the richness of Indian dance and the pride of sharing cultural heritage in a modern workplace setting. It was a meaningful experience for the dancers and a great opportunity to connect with the broader community through art.

Honoring Pongal Through the Timeless Art of Bharatanatyam!
At Leela, dance is more than a performing art—it is an education.
True to this belief, our Pongal Showcase focused on the learning process rather than only the performance. Parents and guests were delighted as students, from the youngest to the most advanced, broke down rhythmic structures, compositional patterns, and key narrative elements that define a Bharatanatyam Margam. In the process gaining a deeper understanding of what a Margam truly is.
So, through simple explanations, rhythmic recitations, dances and dance movements, the Pongal Showcase became a “harvest” of learning—celebrating knowledge, gratitude, and the intrinsic connection between nature and humanity. It embodied the spirit of discipline, devotion, and artistry. It was truly inspiring to witness our students’ dedication and sincerity.
